As a Salesforce Manager, you will be in charge of overseeing one or more Salesforce engineering squads at Progyny. These engineering squads are responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, deploying, and maintaining solutions on the Salesforce platform. The successful candidate will support and design highly efficient end-to-end CRM solutions in Salesforce while ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our Salesforce Products.

What you’ll do…

  • Manage the full lifecycle of Salesforce development projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions, using best practices and industry standards.
  • Oversee code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of Salesforce applications.
  • Ensure compliance with internally defined and industry-standard security, governance, and performance guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and feedback to team members, and foster a culture of inclusion, learning and innovation.
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers, product managers, product owners, business analysts, and end users to deliver high-value solutions to our customers, consumers, and users.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the Salesforce ecosystem and evaluate new tools and frameworks for future adoption.
  • Take full control and responsibility for finding solutions to highly ambiguous problems, and drive towards simple, but elegant solutions.
  • Lead proactive initiatives to maintain and restructure scalable data models to enable key business processes.
  • Review existing solutions and projects with Salesforce Architect to remediate technical debt and update critical projects.

About you…

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead role.
  • Must be a team player committed to supporting a healthy, collaborative environment.
  • Superior Salesforce development skills including Apex code/classes, Visualforce, Rest &Soap Api’s, LWC/Aura, JavaScript.
  • Proven knowledge of out of box tools, automations, and data loader
  • Ability to understand business use cases with senior leadership and translate that into solutions on the application side. Proven project management skills and experience functional understanding of general financial principles.
  • Leverages business and technical expertise across disciplines, demonstrating a high level of industry knowledge.
  • Possess good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to contribute ideas, provide feedback, and collaborate on many projects within the team’s portfolio that may be outside your domain expertise.

Nice to have …

  • Experience working in the Healthcare Industry is a plus.
  • Experience working in Marketing Cloud and/or CPQ is a plus.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Jitterbit, MuleSoft) is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer II and Salesforce System Architect / Application Architect is a plus.
  • Experience working in an agile Scrum environment is a plus.

In compliance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $175,000 - $185,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
