Description:
Overview
As our Manager of Security at CHI St Vincent, you will assist our Director of Security with the effective day-to-day security operations of our hospital. Your team is responsible for the safety and security of our staff, patients, and guests and you understand that safety is essential to healing.
Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises.
Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.
CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day safety and security operations for assigned campus
- Compellingly communicate to staff the critical role in an effective security program
- Train security officers, hospital staff, and leadership on security policy and procedure
- Participate on internal and external committees and work groups regarding safety and emergency preparedness
- Act as a liaison with a variety of local, state, and federal emergency response agencies to maintain an active role in the community
- Participate in IOC/Safety meetings and EOC workgroups
- Initiate measures to correct unsafe conditions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related area; or have equivalent work experience required
- Must have a minimum of 10 years in Security or Law Enforcement, Healthcare experience a strong plus
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a responsible charge position required
- Must have a knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulatory requirements
