In your role as Manager, Software Quality Assurance at Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our world class software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. As part of our team in Nova Scotia, you will lead and mentor a team of talented QA professionals. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and development teams, you’ll define and execute the software quality roadmap. You will become part of a global leader in cancer care technology as we shape the future of oncology software with cutting-edge solutions that directly impact patient care.
Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, is working with Nova Scotia Health to revolutionize cancer care in a province where the need is greater than ever. Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software QA professionals. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and development teams to define and execute the software quality roadmap.
  • Quality: Maintain the highest standards of software quality, reliability, and performance. Implement best practices and methodologies to help deliver exceptional products.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and clinical experts to ensure the highest quality results.
  • Technical Excellence: Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards. Promote a culture of continuous learning and excellence within your team.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Proven experience in software testing, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Familiarity with agile testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency with tools commonly used in software testing, development, and lifecycle management.
  • Passion for healthcare and a desire to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Note: This role will require the successful candidate to reside in Nova Scotia.
