KDP’s Procurement & Strategy department is looking for experienced professionals to join the team and create value for the company!
The Manager – External Operations is responsible for supporting the strategic sourcing activities for External Operations related categories (e.g., Logistics, Co-Manufacturing, Repacking, etc.) for KDP in Canada. This position will work closely with senior business stakeholders to develop and implement effective cost reduction strategies, foster innovations, and optimize supplier performance while reducing total cost of ownership.
This role can be based in our Montreal, QC or Mississauga, ON office and reports to the Senior Manager – Procurement & Facilities. Some travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain roles.
  • Proficiency in reading and speaking both French and English fluently.

Responsibilities:

Category Management

  • Develop and execute the Procurement strategy for sourcing, in conjunction with senior business partners to address and meet business needs.
  • Lead sourcing events (RFI, RFP, e-auction), negotiate pricing contracts, drafting, analyzing and summarizing supply agreement/contract proposals.
  • Oversee project management & stakeholders management for product transfer & innovation launches, in collaboration with Supply Chain teams.
  • Evaluate the global performance of co-manufacturing & logistics suppliers.
  • Manage the relationships and communication with US stakeholders
  • Foster strategic collaboration with suppliers. Conduct industry deep dive analysis to provide proactive category insights.
  • Manage overall spend for co-man and logistics sourcing. Develop and update financial savings models with support from Finance. Prepare and update the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the categories under their responsibility.

Productivity

  • Own and drive productivity improvements across all external operations categories.
  • Identify and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and report on productivity metrics to senior management.

Compliance

  • Oversee legal contracting & contract administration in Ariba as required by policy.

Analytics and Communication

  • Utilize advanced analytical tools (e.g., Excel) to draw conclusions and make recommendations from large data sets.
  • Exhibit proficiency in oral/written communication to effectively explain complex ideas and approaches to a wide audience.
  • Demonstrate expertise in MS Word, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint.

Stakeholder Management & Influencing

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate effectively with other critical cross-functional groups.
  • Employ a collaborative management style to build partnerships both internally and externally.
