Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of a spare parts store, ensuring that the right spare parts are available when needed to support equipment maintenance, repair and production processes.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION
- Advanced/ Higher Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum three / five years working experience in manufacturing sector with spare part management.
- At least 5 years of related experience in managerial position in handling spare parts management in manufacturing sector.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Good in managing spare parts inventory and management.
- Strong management skills and able to efficiently organize the team.
- Strong analytical thinking and leadership skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to motivate the team and encourage strong teamwork.
- Good sense of urgency and able to work under pressure.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Computer literate & professional work ethics.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to maintain and up-to-date inventory of spare parts.
- To monitor stock levels and ensure the availability of critical parts to avoid production delays or equipment downtime.
- Implement efficient inventory control practices to minimize waste, theft or obsolescence.
- To source and purchase spare parts from suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, including price, delivery and payment conditions.
- Organize and categorize spare parts to facilitate easy retrieval and efficient tracking.
- Ensure that spare parts meet quality standards and specifications.
- Supervise a team of Executive, storekeepers, clerks or technicians responsible for managing the spare part store.
- Ensure a clean and organized store environment and complying with safety regulations and implement safety protocols to protect employees and spare parts.
- Cultivate positive relationships with suppliers and negotiate agreements that benefit the organization.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance store efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
