As our Manager of Talent Management, you will lead the development, implementation and embedding of life-cycle talent programs to enable the full potential of employees to meet our business needs. You will collaborate across all functions of the organization and with our partners, stakeholders, leaders and workforce to influence and effect positive change that supports our continued journey toward a high-performance culture. Reporting to the Director of Diversity, Talent, and Training, this role will work to build and advance an integrated Talent Strategy and operational plan that supports TC Energy’s commitments.

What you’ll do:

  • With a desire for continuous improvement, drive our end-to-end talent programs in support of our business strategy. Programs include succession planning, performance management and development planning, employee engagement and listening strategy, leadership development, and onboarding.
  • Provide insights based on the analysis of enterprise data to inform and progress the enterprise talent planning and development process
  • Partner with other HR COEs and Business Partners to provide strategic consulting and expertise to solve talent issues
  • Monitor the deployment, communication and continuous improvement of talent processes to ensure effective delivery and a client experience that achieves intended results
  • Bring expertise to provide guidance, insights, coaching, data analysis, and reporting on talent programs
  • Identify and implement opportunities to embed inclusive practices into all talent programs and processes
  • Lead a small team of talent experts that ensure talent management design and deployment is executed. When needed, leverage industry experts to elevate our programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, monitoring vendor performance and service level agreements, with a focus on operational effectiveness and clear, measurable KPIs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, with a preference for Human Resources or related discipline; or equivalent of combined education and experience
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience with a focus on organizational support in planning, developing and implementing programs
  • Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and partners at all leadership levels of the organization
  • Project management experience with demonstrated success dealing with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of talent management frameworks, principles and strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Approaches the work with a business lens to design and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for connecting with a variety of people and an appreciation of diverse perspectives
  • Experience working within a COE delivery model is considered an asset
