Core skills required include:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent), with experience in a finance business partnering role.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the key factors which influence business performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships with all levels of staff with ability to influence where required.
- Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to drive change and experience of leading initiatives from concept to implementation.
- Energy and motivation; an enthusiastic and dedicated team player.
- Excellent communication skills – experience of dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good IT knowledge and skills in particular modelling and presentations (strength in Excel and PowerPoint essential).
- Experience in a professional service organisation would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the business to understand financial challenges. Providing practical advice and solutions, you will operate as a catalyst for informed decision making and improving financial performance.
- Responsibility for financial planning and forecasting.
- Drive monthly performance management. Identifying and understanding variances and trends, providing insight and independent advice to business leaders.
- Develop trust and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Creation of models to help support the business in strategic decision making and performance analysis.
- Driving strategic initiatives from conception through to implementation and realisation of benefits.
- Owning key processes and standards across Business Finance to drive ongoing improvement and consistent best practice.
- Work closely with the Financial Control team to gain an in-depth understanding of key controllership metrics
