This is an exciting leadership opportunity to oversee the direction of on the application of the Enterprise Testing Services (for both BAU and Projects funded by IC) encompassing methodology and standards with a continuation of capability and test automation uplift, while leading and developing individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes. Lead a team of Testers
and Test leads to undertake all forms of applications testing for projects across the Bank.

To achieve this you will:

• Contribute to the broader strategic direction and leadership of Testing, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes to meet the current and future needs of the Bank.
• Ensure operational accountability and effectiveness in regards to the Testing methodology, standards, processes, tools, capability and automation uplift.
• Continue to implement the Enterprise Test Maturity roadmap, Test assurance and governance across all projects and BAU to ensure quality in Test Planning, Execution and Reporting, whilst championing Testing and
• SDLC authority across IT and RBA to support the various business departments, with an aim to drive consistent best practices which are RBA and industry aligned.
• Proactively integrate this function in to the future IT Operating model in conjunction with other IT teams, whilst driving IT simplification.
• Manage internal and external relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders to successfully deliver change, whilst ensuring steady resource supply by proactively engaging suppliers and vendors.
• Provide advice in relation to business change strategy, business cases, frame works and planning, and lead and manage projects, programs or initiatives that contribute to the organisation’s strategic goals.
• Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams to effectively achieve area outcomes agreed by key stakeholders, whilst enabling and recognise workforce performance in a way that encourages continuous improvement.

You will lead a collaborative, diverse team of 4 direct reports and multiple indirect, with a great supportive culture. Our people collaborate, share their expertise, drive innovation and solve complex business challenges.
Your background
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in leading a Testing practice and providing guidance and coaching to team members. You with require experience in building and maturing a Testing centre of excellence and ideally have specific accreditations or qualifications in leadership and management and appropriate certifications in Applications Testing. Finally you will require experience in using a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and have proven experience in largescale IT project management.
Experience in Agile transformations and applying Lean thinking at a practice level would be advantageous.
