Job Description:
Manager is an experienced and action-driven leader that will develop, implement, and drive a standardized TPM system across multiple manufacturing plants. This leader will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving equipment reliability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will assess current state to guide teams in executing TPM methodologies, achieving long-term sustainability, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. This role will report to the Operational Excellence team to incorporate the TPM strategy as a pillar for the OPEX system.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement TPM System: Design and deploy a comprehensive and standardized TPM framework across all manufacturing facilities to improve operational efficiency and equipment reliability. This framework will work as one of the pillars for the operational excellence system.
- Standardization of Processes: Create and document standardized TPM processes, ensuring consistency across multiple plants while allowing for flexibility to meet site-specific needs.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizen initiatives, problem-solving, and waste reduction efforts, ensuring the elimination of production bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Lead Maintenance Strategy: Oversee the execution of preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance programs aimed at reducing downtime, equipment failures, and maintenance costs.
- Empower and Train Teams: Develop and deliver training programs for plant personnel, empowering operators, technicians, and engineers to actively participate in TPM activities and own their respective maintenance responsibilities.
- Optimize Equipment Performance: Use TPM principles to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), ensuring optimal performance, quality, and availability of manufacturing equipment.
- Develop, Monitor and Analyze KPIs: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), such as OEE, downtime, mean time to repair (MTTR), and mean time between failures (MTBF), to measure the success of TPM initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to ensure that TPM goals are aligned with broader operational and business objectives.
- Conduct TPM Audits and Assessments: Perform regular audits and assessments of TPM processes in each plant to ensure adherence to standards and provide assertive coaching to achieve desired outcomes.
- Scalability and Innovation: Lead efforts to innovate and scale TPM processes by incorporating the latest technologies, methodologies, and best practices in the industry as part of a comprehensive industry 4.0 strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or professional certification in maintenance management is preferred.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing operations with a proven track record in TPM leadership or a similar maintenance role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Proven hands-on experience with leading successful process improvement projects and achieving tangible results.
- Outstanding mentoring and coaching abilities and robust problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt) is a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
