Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the Wellington Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team of 30+ engineers and project managers.
  • Developing and executing the T&D strategy for Wellington; representing the team in senior leadership discussions and overseeing the financial performance and delivery outcomes of the T&D business.
  • Fostering a high performing, engaged environment whilst ensuring team wellbeing and health and safety in line with AECOM requirements.
  • Driving team growth through recruitment, effective collaboration with offshore design teams, and workload management.
  • Supporting business development; building client relationships, identifying opportunities, and overseeing bids.
    Qualifications

  • Degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • 15+ years’ relevant experience, ideally within a consulting environment.
  • Solid understanding of substation design principles, sound judgement and demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and situations.
  • An effective and engaged people leader with the tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results.
  • Self-motivated, passionate and committed to thinking outside the box, constantly striving for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated commercial and strategic acumen.
