Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the Wellington Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team of 30+ engineers and project managers.
- Developing and executing the T&D strategy for Wellington; representing the team in senior leadership discussions and overseeing the financial performance and delivery outcomes of the T&D business.
- Fostering a high performing, engaged environment whilst ensuring team wellbeing and health and safety in line with AECOM requirements.
- Driving team growth through recruitment, effective collaboration with offshore design teams, and workload management.
- Supporting business development; building client relationships, identifying opportunities, and overseeing bids.
Qualifications

- Degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- 15+ years’ relevant experience, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Solid understanding of substation design principles, sound judgement and demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and situations.
- An effective and engaged people leader with the tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results.
- Self-motivated, passionate and committed to thinking outside the box, constantly striving for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated commercial and strategic acumen.
