Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking an ambitious UAE National to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for the development & implementation of the business strategies to achieve Unsecured Lending products balance sheet & profitability objectives in line with AOP targets as well as position HSBC among the market leaders within the UAE
- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities especially with specific focus on the UAE and Egypt markets being the largest and most sensitive markets in the region
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going engagement with distribution and customers’ feedback / insights.
- Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
- Developing and implementing a product-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
- Tracking and timely monitoring of competition to ensure that we maintain our competitive edge as well as representation to local regulatory bodies.
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
- Manage the Unsecured Lending products portfolio for optimizing return to shareholders. This includes planning, initiating, developing, and executing product strategies for Unsecured Lending in close association with relevant stakeholders.
- Responsibilities will encompass achieving and managing a full suite of Unsecured Lending Products capabilities within regulatory framework, Global Standards and laws including Central Banks and JFSC across geographies.
- Manage the Personal Loan business planning, acquisitions/sales, attrition, and financial reviews.
- Ensure the pricing & positioning of Personal Loan Products & Branch Banking Services are aligned with Group principles of Fair Value Exchange (FVE), Value for Money (VFM) and Treat the Customer Fairly (TCF)
- Ensure to protect HSBC from Reputational, Operational and Business Risk in the business.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree is must to obtain visa in UAE.
- Previous experience in Product management or marketing and knowledge of strategies & techniques.
- Strong analytical skills, with a finance and/or business studies and/or economics background
- Capacity to engage with various stakeholders and to coordinate complex projects.
- Ability to work independently and drive delivery of assigned projects.
- Adequate knowledge on operational procedures, credit, compliance, risk management, sales, and service.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- An understanding of the retail financial services market in the UAE and its developments.
- Ability to execute analytical and data driven decisions.
- Evidence of managing a complex and varied set of stakeholders
