To plan, organize and control the input, movement, process/sort, and output of the operations to ensure a high level of service. Manages all other necessary activities which provide optimum service to customers.
Responsible for selecting, training, and developing a staff of 2 to 30 direct reports. Responsible for a staff of 1 to 30 indirect reports. Conducts meetings to provide employees with information regarding division/operation; applies consistent administration of disciplinary procedures. Maintains accurately all required reports/paperwork, payroll, performance reviews, mbo, and personal record statistics through established paperwork guidelines. Ensures safety methods and programs are implemented and maintained. Instructs employees with/on methods to instill a service-conscious attitude, and minimize service failures. Ensures cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies. Maintains contact with customers (internal and external) with regard to conditions affecting the service level of area served. Controls movement and activities of all related products to ensure maximum efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires strong basic management, human relations and communications skills. 4-Year degree preferred/ equivalent in business. Minimum six (6) years business experience in the field/industry. Minimum one to two (1-2) years management/supervisory experience. Individual customs broker’s license is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Customs Broker’s Licenses. Six (6) + years business experience in Freight Forwarding, Industry, with 2+ yrs in a management/supervisory role.
