Job Description
We’re looking for you to join our Tax Team in full time or part time.
Please be advised: Due to our international corporate culture, we publish all our job advertisements in English. Nevertheless a significant part of this job will be in German.

Tasks

  • Your area of activity is responsible for ensuring compliance in the area of VAT for all German and Austrian Sky companies
  • In addition to the preparation of monthly advance VAT returns for the individual companies of the Sky Group in Germany and Austria, this includes the preparation of VAT returns as well as answering enquiries from the tax authorities - also in the context of tax audits - and conducting legal appeals
  • You’ll act as a competent contact person - also in cooperation with external consultants - in all matters of VAT law for the Group companies and their specialist departments as well as for authorities in German and English
  • Your job will also include the implementation of VAT-related issues in the processes and the ERP system as well as the creation of work instructions
  • With your good knowledge of Excel and accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), you’ll have no problem checking and analysing VAT-relevant data

Requirements

  • You’ve successfully completed training as an accountant (m/f/d) or alternatively a successfully completed degree in economics with a focus on tax law or a degree in finance ideally with 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the area of sales tax
  • You’ve sound expertise in VAT law and good accounting skills
  • Through your previous experience, you¿ve acquired an experienced handling of all MS Office applications and SAP HANA
  • You’re characterised by your high affinity for numbers and strong analytical skills
  • You’re a team player, flexible and keep a cool head even in stressful situations
  • Your good communication skills in German and English set you apart from others
