Are you looking for a role that will challenge you? Does the thought of representing and leading the corporate Clean-up Function for a nuclear the site get you excited? Are you good at providing oversight on large-scale projects? Our Whiteshell location is looking for a Manager to oversee the clean-up project. If you answered yes, then this may be the job for you!
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the completion of the Whiteshell (WL) Land-Use & End-State Plan (LUES Plan).
- Aligning the LUES Plan with the applicable Detailed Decommissioning Plans (DDPs).
- Supporting the completion and acceptance of the Environmental Risk Assessments (ERAs).
- Leading the development of the WL Soil Screening Cleanup Criteria, and Contamination Clearance Levels.
- Leading the development of the WL Final Site Clearance Survey.
- Ensuring WL Clean-up Branch staff are effectively utilized to deliver maximum efficiency and effectiveness of resources.
- Ensuring sufficient staff training in the various technical disciplines, hiring new staff, and managing productivity and performance.
- Contracting work when internal resources cannot meet priority and/or skills demands.
- Preparing (or reviewing) and approving technical reports and other documentation issued to internal and external customers and/or regulators.
- Developing future leaders through mentoring and transfer of skills and knowledge.
- Developing and maintaining good internal and external relationships to promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Acting as delegate for the Director and other Division Managers as required.
- Ensuring Clean-up Function program requirements are met for major capital projects.
- Establishing robust processes that support the Clean-up Function program in delivering on schedule and cost commitments with a high level of quality and consistent performance.
- Supporting WL Restoration Project in meeting planned deliverables, cost, and scheduled commitments as well as meeting the organization’s annual operational plan and performance objectives.
- Participating and supporting in benchmarking activities, both within CNL and externally.
- Driving organizational improvements, as required, taking full account of Improvement Action Tracking, Root Cause Analyses, Apparent Cause Analysis and Lessons Learned.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
