Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education - Diploma or Degree in related field.
  • Bilingualism is an asset. Role located in Toronto or Montreal
  • 5+ years workers’ compensation claims and return to work program experience in different provinces.
  • Experience working with of provincial Workers Compensation Boards.
  • Associate in Claims (AIC), Certified Return to Work Coordinator (CRTWC), Certified Disability Management Professional (COMP), Human Resources Professional (CHRP) would be an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork and demonstrated presentations skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, teams and PowerPoint ( Proficient in presentation delivery), Power BI, and can learn an internal database system, in addition to working regularly in the TPA system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional Workers Compensation Legislation and Disability Management processes (Occupational), non-occupational claims experience is an asset.
  • Multi-jurisdictional experience with return-to-work programs.
  • Understanding of the litigation / appeals process related to workers’ compensation claims, and third-party administration processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Improvement, coordination and oversight of the company-wide worker’s compensation claims management programs.
  • Administer Coke Canada’s workers’ compensation claims management program.
  • Ensure that all claims are effectively managed in compliance with provincial legislation and mitigating lost-time and expenses through oversight of the program to ensure early and safe return-to-work program.
  • Monitor third party administration claim handling - including Return to Work and Claims Management for Provincial Workers Compensation.
  • Develop and deploy, in all provinces, the return to work programming including training material and training people in all country and maintain Physical Demands Analysis (PDAs) updated/available to all functions.
  • Work with and contribute to other departmental QSE functions in support of claims avoidance.
  • Review functional abilities, physical demands analysis, and related job descriptions to ensure return-to-work plans are appropriate and effective to reduce the lost time days and costs associated with workplace incidents.
  • Lead WC projects as part of continual improvement opportunities within claims management processes.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships within and across all business groups including HR and boards across Canada.
  • Creates, assembles, and/or maintains internal reports and statistics (scorecards) and respective analysis. Identify and report trends/ recommended solutions to the business.
