Description:

Overview
The Workshop Manager works closely with Customer and all associated Managers to carry out intermediate maintenance to achieve a high rate of aircraft readiness.
Will also be responsible for
1. Manages workshop personnel, equipment, and facility assets to repair rotary or fixed wing aircraft.
2. Prepares, establishes, and implements standing operating procedures for the management of the workshops maintenance activities.
3. Interprets regulations, technical manuals, and work orders pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
4. Coordinate and monitors all logistical needs such as parts, tools, manuals, and equipment required to sustain and improve shops’ operation.
5. Evaluates maintenance operations and facilities for compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures and operational policies in accordance with the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS), Occupational Safety & Health of local authority, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and Military Standards.
6. Performs maintenance trend analysis and applies production control, quality control, safety techniques, and other maintenance management principles.
7. Coordinates on a daily basis with other department heads in the planning and control of the shop’s maintenance flow in support of the Customer air operations.
8. Maintains accountability for all tools and equipment assigned to the workshops.
9. Identifies personnel training deficiencies and recommends a plan of action to correct them.
10. Writes Weekly and Monthly situation reports to highlight deficiencies and achievements within the department.
11. Help employees to resolve any outstanding HR issues.
12. Submit Appraisals, Employee status change & Staff requisitions as required.

Qualification

-Bachelor or Associate Degree in Aviation discipline or equivalent Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant License or equivalent is desirable.

  • Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).

Experience

-Minimum of 15 Years Must have a minimum of 15 years working experience in the area of aviation maintenance or aviation related field applicable to the position. Managerial and leadership experience, preferably in a multicultural and/or military environment.

  • Minimum of 7YearsSupervisory experience
  • Good communication, leadership, managerial and technical skills.
  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
