QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

  • Certificate IV in Business, Business Administration or similar
  • Minimum 3 years’ administration experience in Heavy Industry or the Mining Sector would be advantagous
  • High level of computer literacy and acumen with Microsoft Suite
  • Experience using databases and ability to learn new software programs quickly. Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
  • Uphold personal credibility and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player – works cooperatively with others and ensures team effectiveness

Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Applications are now open for a Managers Assistant to join the Operational Management Team.
This role is accountable for coordinating high-level administrative and organisational tasks and functions for members of the Senior Management Team. In order to best support the multiple Senior Managers, we are seeking an experienced administrator who can demonstrate professionalism, maintain confidentiality and has the ability to use initiative to get the best outcome.
The open plan office is located in the Production Hub within the plant area, therefore you would be required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment), including overalls and boots.
Whilst this is a self-directed role and you would largely work autonomously, this role reports to and is fully supported by the Executive Assistant. This exciting opportunity is residentially based in Port Pirie, South Australia on a Monday-Friday roster.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Prepare and edit professional written material (site notices, emails, reports, presentations, minute taking) and locate documents as required using the site documentation systems
  • Coordinate key information gathering for members of the Senior Management team (source documentation and data and respond accurately and timely)
  • Coordinate maintenance, housekeeping and presentation of the Production Hub
  • Provide backup and relevant support for the Executive Assistant
