JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Managing Director to lead Borderless Payroll’s growth and operations and transition the company from startup to scale up to a more dominant position in the UK market and abroad. This pivotal role involves overseeing cross-functional teams, ensuring high levels of compliance, and driving the business toward ambitious growth targets. The ideal candidate should ideally have a background in managing companies within the payroll, recruitment or financial services sector.
The Managing Director will be fully accountable for the performance of the company, leading with a strategic mindset and focusing on operational efficiency and expansion. You will report directly to the board and lead senior-level management in various departments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW:

  • Proven experience as a Managing Director, CEO, or senior executive in the payroll, recruitment, HR, or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of payroll management.
  • Basic understanding of UK employment law is sufficient, as dedicated legal teams handle jurisdiction-specific compliance.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing businesses, meeting revenue targets, and expanding operations internationally.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team building, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and financial forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
