BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
  • Internationally recognised professional accounting or finance qualification.
  • At least 10-15 years of solid professional experience in restructuring and insolvency.
  • Regional experience in formal appointments and restructuring.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organisational and executive level presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information.
  • Excellent knowledge of the legal insolvency process, including relevant laws and practices.
  • Able to write complex reports.
  • Strong leader who is viewed by colleagues as a good mentor.
  • Financial modelling skills.
  • Is a self-starter with the ability to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity and high level of professionalism.
  • Regional/Global travel to client office(s) and/or FTI regional office(s) as needed

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Corporate Finance and Restructuring team in Singapore focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.
Managing Directors in the Corporate Finance sector are responsible for planning, supervising, performing and finalizing engagements with responsibility for day to day activities of the team and subordinates. They are also expected to manage all the day-to-day activities of projects and matters from start to finish with minimal or no supervision.
For Managing Directors, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is critical. They must demonstrate the ability to fully lead and manage client matters with minimal input or edits from senior team members and effectively manage and meet the client’s expectations at all times.
Managing Directors should be undertaking business development activities and assist in identifying new work opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Participate in strategic planning of engagements and potential engagements.
  • Participate in Corporate Finance and Restructuring direction and strategy.
  • Provide coaching and development to project teams.
  • Utilise advanced accounting knowledge and logical reasoning skills to provide complete client services.
  • Project management including drafting letter of engagements, billing and coordination with client contacts.
  • Work to ensure a quality product, as well as deliver all work within established timeframes.
  • Prepare draft reports, presentations and other deliverables for third parties, setting out findings and/or results of the agreed scope of work.
  • Interact directly with clients including lawyers and senior accounting personnel.
  • Coordinate and maintain business relationships; regularly attend, instigate and organise professional networking functions.
  • Be prepared to speak at conferences to promote FTI and develop brand awareness.
  • Build relationships internally across different segments to cross sell services to clients.
  • Track progress of cases and monitor workflow of different matters.
  • Coordinate and review the work of others and ensure the timely completion of engagements.
  • Recruit, supervise, coach and train junior members of staff.
  • Maintain professional image within the firm and project the same to those outside the firm.
  • Lead and take responsibility for practice development initiatives including identifying and implementing improvements required to existing procedures.
  • Exhibit leadership skills which serve as a model for FTI employees, and which serve to engage and motivate superior performance.
