Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to lead our Specialty Cheese and Mediterranean food Manufacturing Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business operations, ensuring the highest standards of production, quality, and market competitiveness. This role requires a visionary, entrepreneurial leader with a strong background in the speciality foods industry, with excellent business acumen and exceptional management skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision and 5 year plan, ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer demands.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including production, supply chain, quality control and more, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to stakeholders. Full P&L responsibility.
  • Sales and Marketing: Drive sales growth and brand awareness through innovative marketing strategies and strong customer relationships.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
  • Innovation: Promote product innovation and development, staying ahead of industry trends and meeting evolving consumer preferences.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, investors, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Food Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the speciality cheese or specialty foods industry, with a proven track record of working within cross functional teams.
  • A good understanding of retail and hospitality.
  • Skills: Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and business development skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and consumer preferences to inform business decisions.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of food production processes, quality control, and industry regulations.
  • Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
