The Mannheim Center for Evaluation and Development (Center for Evaluation and Development C4ED) is a non-profit charitable organization that researches which programs and policies in development cooperation work for whom, when, why, and under what conditions. Our focus is on Africa, Asia, and Latin America. With approximately 100 employees globally, we conduct research in areas such as poverty, education, employment, healthcare, climate change, microfinance, social security, and rural development. Our partners and clients include UNICEF, UN World Food Programme (WFP), World Bank, European Commission, UN Climate Fund (GCF), IFAD, ILO, BMZ, KfW, and GIZ.

Your responsibilities:

  • Management of the international corporate group
  • Content and disciplinary leadership, especially in the areas of finance, taxes, law and contracts, controlling and cost accounting, accounting, and human resources
  • Responsibility for budget, financial planning, annual financial statements, non-profit status, and ongoing reporting (internal and external)
  • Willingness for global management, particularly for the locations in Ethiopia (Addis Ababa) and Pakistan (Islamabad)
  • Enthusiastic and inspiring leadership at the Mannheim location

Your profile:

  • Experience in the areas of controlling/financial and accounting
  • Willingness and readiness for a leadership position
  • Experience in corporate organization and process optimization
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in taxes, law and contracts, non-profit status
  • Leadership, communication, and social skills in an international environment
  • High performance, diligence, and work efficiency
  • Strong entrepreneurial thinking, proactive problem-solving orientation
  • Winning personality, goal-oriented demeanor, and openness to a complex and dynamic environment
  • Very good MS Office and English skills, French skills are an advantage
