Rijk Zwaan Vietnam is a commercial subsidiary with a team of 21 colleagues. The activities include product development, marketing and sales. Next to our office in Ho Chi Minh City, we have a trial station in Da Lat. The company will be led by a board of two Managing Directors who are jointly responsible for the entire operation. Each Managing Director has his or her own attention fields. Within this role you are responsible for monitoring and controlling all financial, administrative and legal issues as well as human resources and IT. The other Managing Director focuses on product development, marketing and sales. Every year you will make a five year development plan, including sales targets, investments and cost development, in close collaboration with the Managing Director Commerce. The Vietnamese MD’s report to the Business Managers of Asia.

As Managing Director we expect you to have a broad interest in all aspects of managing a company including fostering the unique Rijk Zwaan company culture, managing financial risks and legal compliance. You have an open personality, good communication skills, you are trustworthy and open to receive feedback and you can build bridges between people. We are looking for a hands-on, inspirational leader, someone who is both people- and result-oriented. We are seeking a good leader and organizer with an international outlook and global mindset, someone with an active and practical approach, positive thinking and attitude, orientated towards persevering and problem solving.

• An academic degree in the area of Business Economics
• More than 5 years of managerial experience
• A strong affinity with agriculture
• Strategic insights for commercial and company development
• A people-oriented management style and high team work abilities

Where will you be working?
Rijk Zwaan is an international family owned company with a people-oriented culture. Rijk Zwaan is at the very beginning of the food chain. We develop vegetable and fruit varieties and sell the seeds to growers and other chain partners all over the world. We make an important contribution to the world food supply. You are based in Ho Chi Minh City, but you will also be visiting the trial station in Da Lat regularly.
