You have completed a high school diploma or its equivalent, qualifications on specific Product Center equipment may substitute for years of experience. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in a related role for at least 1 year and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Any employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning to operate various equipment to convert, dissolve, purify, and process uranium materials in a safe and proficient manner.
  • Producing uranium product that will be used in downstream processes to create fuel to produce carbon free electricity in nuclear power plants.
  • Learning how to read different instruments to help you in your processing duties.
  • Gaining experience using computer software and hardware with several data bases to electronically transfer and track materials and products.
  • Developing process and equipment troubleshooting skills.
  • Learning how to handle uranium safely
