Description:
METRIE IS CURRENTLY HIRING MACHINE OPERATOR TRAINEES AT OUR EDMONTON, AB LOCATION!
This is an entry level position with potential for advancement. Candidates need to be able to perform repetitive physical work in an often loud and dusty environment (w/ PPE). No experience necessary - we provide all training in-house!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Learn Metrie grading standards and sort materials for optimal usage
- Ability to correctly interpret sorting/piling instructions
- Capable of lifting 20 lbs. regularly and 40-50 lbs. occasionally
- A strong ability to adapt to changing conditions and complete various tasks
- Self-motivation and a demonstrated focus on achieving company goals
- The ability to work methodically to the pace set by the machine center
- Use downtime to assist with cleanup and work area organization
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
