This position is responsible for operating all equipment in the production and packaging of oat-based ingredient. You will be operating the latest technology milling equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experienced in or knowledge of food production is an asset.
• Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including some nights and weekends.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of lifting 25KG.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computer systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Able to work in a processing environment (steam processing, heights, no dust allergies).
• Able to complete respirator fit testing.

• Operate packaging or processing operating systems.
• Perform minor repairs as needed.
• Test products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete documentation in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Operates in accordance with all food safety and employee safety requirements.
• Participate in all in-house relevant training.
• Participate in a respectful work environment where employees can bring forward not only ideas and improvements but concerns of all nature, including safety.
• Maintain cleaning standards in all areas of the mill.
