Job Title: Control Panel Assembler - ON

Reports To: Plant Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the assembly and wiring of the system power and control panels as per the project drawings and specifications ready to be mounted into the system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in wiring electrical componentry or systems
  • Ability to read wiring schematics required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Ability to work within specified timelines while maintaining focus on quality and safety.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review the panel drawings for accuracy.
  2. Layout components on the back plate to ensure all components fit.
  3. Drill and tap back plate for components.
  4. Mount all components and complete all wiring.
  5. Make all labels and put them on the component and wires.
  6. Make cutouts on panel doors and mount components on the panel door and wire.
  7. Work with Purchasing to monitor and maintain inventory of panel miscellaneous components.
  8. Perform final quality inspection on panels.
  9. Assists Engineering and electricians on any issues for resolution.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety to others in accordance with Newterra’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible to report all safety concerns, near misses and incidents to their manager immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace
  • Adhere to the company processes as detailed in Newterra’s business operating system and brings forward ideas for continuous improvement.
