Pay Rate: $45 - $52/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Goleta, CA. This position involves developing manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and optimizing production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering, with a focus on problem-solving and leadership in engineering projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Industry Focus: Preference for candidates with experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Solid experience with both mechanical and electrical manufacturing engineering.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading or contributing significantly to manufacturing engineering projects, with a focus on delivering results.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, preferably with Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean or Six Sigma.
- Additional Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, statistical process control, and production efficiency optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes using statistical process control techniques.
- Provide guidance on design concepts and specification requirements to maximize the use of equipment and manufacturing methods.
- Ensure all processes and procedures comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, material handling, and more.
- Create and implement efficient machine and equipment layouts within plant facilities to enhance productivity.
- Define and design the sequence of operations for fabricating tools, equipment, and products to meet performance specifications.
- Adapt machine and equipment designs to suit factory and production conditions.
- Integrate inspection and testing requirements into the production plan.
- Inspect the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to identify efficiency issues and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality.
- Lead and support manufacturing engineering projects, including troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
