Description:
TAKE OWNERSHIP FOR THE PRODUCTION OF OUR PRODUCTS
In this role, you’ll be responsible for Engineering associated with the manufacturing process to ensure smooth execution. Suggests improvements in products, processes and procedures.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Provide technical support and direction to the operations department.
- Leading Manufacturing improvements, including Lean operations to drive cycle time reduction, efficiency, and productivity.
- Maintain standard routings and workflows for work orders in relation to tooling being repaired/re-manufactured using master routing.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Design fixtures and tools required.
- Initiate, Develop and execute efficiency improvements within the Workshop/Operations leaning on SIX Sigma Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Technical point of contact to the shop floors for Operations
- Liaise with Engineering on complex technical issues.
- Liaising with clients and vendors on engineering and technical quires and issues.
- Using current costing models for quotations for the repair/remanufacture of tooling and other equipment, looking for improved methods of cost control and efficiencies using negotiation skills and experience.
- Maintains Master Routing integrity, driving productivity improvements and continuously monitoring key metrics to ensure customer and stakeholder demands are met.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s in engineering or Technical Diploma in Engineering or equivalent along with minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, 5 years of experience in manufacturing CNC process.
- Have experience in leading and mentoring teams in manufacturing environment.
- Have good communication and presentation skills to articulate highly technical information in a clear, concise manner.
- Demonstrate experience of working with cross-functional teams within a global-matrix environment
- Be an experienced problem solver, with an analytical approach to identifying root causes and implementing solution
