- An engineering or other relevant discipline degree/HND/HNC and previous experience working in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Hands-on practical experience with CNC machines in an operational environment.
- Experience in CAD modelling and CAM programming for 5 axis CNC machines including on machine probing preferred (training available).
- Understanding of technology readiness levels (TRL) (or similar processes such as MCRL) and driving processes to maturity.
- Understanding of the manufacturing engineering toolset to improve processes in our route to zero defects.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
In this exciting role, you will look after:
- Delivery of machining programmes and processes for a range of composite components from fan blades to structures, and providing a capable method to the operation team in the facility.
- Ensuring the machining techniques meet our customer’s requirements for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Lead time.
- Development of Technical Packages (Equipment Specification, TI’s, PFMEAs, Tooling, Equipment and HSE documentation) to define the manufacturing process and control it effectively.
- Identification of opportunities for new or improved process using statistical process control (Ppk and Cpk) to meet current or future requirements whilst sharing best practice across the community.
- Driving the composite machining process to Zero Defects through cost and quality waterfalls, owning the technology plan and strategy as we head toward industrialising the UltraFan system.
