REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive experience using the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks.
  • Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve decision-making process.
  • Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact.
  • Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.

  • Monitoring system performance and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing control systems as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

ROLE DEFINITION

Provides technical expertise necessary to design, maintain and improve all aspects of automated and semi-automated processes, machine connectivity, and process validation of manufacturing equipment and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing and implementing control systems to optimize production processes
  • Developing and implementing protocols for the operation of control systems
  • Providing technical support and training to other staff on the use of control systems
  • Working with other engineers and professionals in the design and implementation of new processes
  • Updating and maintaining documentation on control systems and processes
  • Evaluating the performance of control systems and making recommendations for improvements
  • Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in process control technology and industry trends.
  • Analyze, design, and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.
  • Assist with the development of technical reports or related documents.
  • Act as the technical consultant for capital projects.
  • Develop control system graphics and configure control system databases.
  • Provide input to the project lessons learned process.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define sensor, computing, network, and redundancy requirements.
  • Assist in the development of machine specifications.
  • Recommend hardware and software changes as well as upgrades to existing systems.
