E-W Metal Works, established in 1950, is a trusted leader in the fabrication and machining industry, specializing in the production of machine tool weldments and details for the automotive sector. As a full-service shop, we provide a comprehensive range of services from design and material selection to painting and black oxiding, ensuring quality at every step.
We operate state-of-the-art equipment, including CNC mills and lathes, as well as boring mills, to deliver precise and high-quality parts. As a Fabrication and Machining Specialist at E-W Metal Works, you will play a key role in supporting the production process, maintaining a high standard of workmanship, and contributing to the success of our diverse customer base.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a 2 or 3 year college program in a related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D drawing.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD/CAM Software.
  • Knowledgeable with welding/machining processes.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ Years’ experience in a welding/machining environment.
  • Adept knowledge and use of CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM or similar).

Responsibilities:

  • Create detail drawings and BOM’s from assembly prints using Auto-CAD.
  • Review customer drawings and create cutting lists for jobs.
  • Draw parts for cutting on the photocell / waterjet using AutoCAD.
  • Purchasing of materials and management / upkeep of material costs.
  • Logging of Material Test Reports (MTRs).
  • Work at a pace that meets demand of the current workload.
  • Provide technical support for the shop floor.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
