Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer General. This is a contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Assembly process systems aligned to standard Bill of Process strategies through enquiry, procurement, simultaneous engineering, build, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Work with project team assigned to the component/process (includes controls, productivity, layout, IT, material handling, and suppliers) to develop full assembly process including auto station designs and workstation & material flow layouts.
- Resolve manufacturing concerns and feasibility issues within the Component Program Module Team (CPMT), by reviewing product drawings, determine manufacturing and communicate gaps to product development team.
- Drive Investment Efficiency process with Product Development and suppliers.
- Develop quality documentation such as SCCAF, Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans (DCP).
- Assume timing and financial responsibility for respective program content.
- Responsible for equipment procurement and lead Machine Acceptance (equipment verification, MIDAS) and issue resolution.
