Description:

Our new Manufacturing Engineer will support production with process definition, routing, takt timing and production flow – ensuring line balancing as appropriate with regular reviews

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend NPI project meetings to assess production impact and advanced planning
  • Drive continuous improvements in productivity to maintain and improve COG’s
  • Work closely with purchasing on ensuring right sources of material, at the right quality and cost
  • Working closely with suppliers to ensure components are designed and manufactured to the correct specification and quality requirements
  • Work closely with the Site Production Manager on efficient production planning processes
  • Manage production ECN, run in and run out of materials and process

Required skills and experience

  • Experienced Manufacturing engineer with an electrical/electronic experience, PCBA and Box building knowledge would be a distinct advantage including management of production test equipment
  • Understands technical drawings and Design for Manufacture including DFMEA, Control Plans and SOP’s
  • Able to translate engineering drawings into easy to understand and use production information
  • Line balancing skills, including process flow analysis and takt time planning, 5S
  • Experience of leading VAVE activities for both process and purchasing improvements
  • Strong problem solving skills, use of RA and CA, 5Y, 8D
