Description:
Design, develop, and support manufacturing processes for improved production throughput and quality. Optimize production layouts, tooling, and fixtures for efficient manufacturing flow. Create new process documentation and standard operating procedures for improvements. Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics for continuous improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve production and quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams for timely resolution. Act as a liaison between different internal groups to support production. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and apply lean manufacturing techniques. Guide and coach teams in Lean principles and manage the NPI process for new products. Organize and lead program and phase gate reviews. Capable of building and testing prototype components and assemblies.
Must be able to multi-task and support other roles as required, and a positive professional demeanor is expected. A knowledge of ISO-9001 AS9100, J-STD-001, and IPC 620 would be helpful. At least 5 years experience in electronics production/manufacturing. Strong Lean Six Sigma problem-solving skills and experience. Software application skills, including SolidWorks, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Visio. Understanding ERP/MRP systems and experience with lean manufacturing are essential. Familiarity with bills of materials and process documents in a manufacturing environment. Able to build and test prototype components and assemblies. A bachelor’s degree or combination of education/training/experience
