REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a one- or two-year college program in industrial engineering technology or in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Understanding of DFM, PFMEA, and Lean/ Six Sigma fundamentals is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Understanding of manufacturing management processes including BOM, ERP, and resource and capacity.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required to communicate with manufacturing personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Excellent writing skills to publish reports, work instructions, and company procedures.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (<10%).
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to implement change.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Sales to define and estimate the costs of the most economical production methods according to the requirements of the product and meet RFQ cycle time.
  • Actively participate in the realization of the first units by supporting the main manufacturing functions.
  • Cooperate with the engineering team on testing and implementation of new manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineer, Product Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to take manufacturing efficiency improvements from initial concept into full implementation.
  • Analyze manufacturing problems and develop alternative approaches to their solution.
  • Prepares production documents such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing records, productivity reports, and/or revisions to product manufacturing standards.
  • Support root cause analysis and the development of timely solutions for issues arising on current products and in the production processes.
  • Programs and operates CNC machines to produce prototype parts and support Production FAI.
  • Provide technical support to the Manufacturing team.
  • Maintain plant layouts and produce technical drawings with the aid of 2D/3D software, as required.
  • Responsible for the Tooling management process.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe work environment.
  • All other related duties or projects, as assigned.
