In Legnago we manufacture standard and custom-made solutions for heavy-duty vehicles for their electromechanical shifting, power control, and circuit protection, so you as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be managing all engineering activities of a small team including design, development, production and testing, implementing and maintaining overall engineering objectives and initiatives. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and team management.
About the Job:
- Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams to meet production goals
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes that optimize efficiency, quality, and cost
- Determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Adjust resources as needed to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget
- Lead engineering projects, particularly where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
- Monitor and analyze production data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
About You:
- Bachelor or university degree in Engineering (Automation/ Industrial Engineering)
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred
- Written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English languages
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to multi-task, compromise, and solve problems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
