About the Role
Quality Bakers Auckland is New Zealand’s largest plant bakery manufacturing some of New Zealand’s most loved brands such as Vogel’s, Freya’s, Molenberg, and Natures Fresh. It has 5 plants, running 24/7 to produce 74 different products daily.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to lead our 5 manufacturing plants and become a key member of the Site Leadership Team. You will have overall accountability for the site’s production team and results, with a particular focus on safety, quality, site culture & engagement, delivery, and cost management.

Skillsets, qualifications and experience we are looking for include:

• Manufacturing leadership experience with demonstrated experience in driving results (versus production targets, waste reduction, cost reduction, DIFOT)
• An understanding of end-to-end value chain and the ability to identify and leverage opportunities to transform and improve
• Experience in leading through others to uplift capability across the site
• Prior experience in Industrial / Plant baking would be advantageous but in the absence of a willingness to learn is essentia

• Provide strong leadership to uplift capabilities and performance of all the plants, focusing on talent management, multi-skilling, development plans and wellbeing of all team members.
• Drive CI and plant efficiency, managing waste, , throughput, GMP, resource management, and reliability.
• Identify and deliver CI initiatives through the Production Managers and cross-functionally with HSE, Quality and Maintenance.
• Ensure the team is completely focused on producing safe and superior products for our Customers.
  About You
  For this role to be a success you will be a strong people leader with a background in the food manufacturing industry; an understanding of Plant Baking would be advantageous but more so the ability to lead from the front is essential.
