We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our busy team based in our Tonsley office, just 20 minutes south of Adelaide CBD.
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for managing all operational functions in the Manufacturing division, including Stores functions. This includes the supervision and scheduling of resources to ensure the successful execution of manufacturing projects and functions.
You will also be responsible for guiding the production Supervisors and Team Leads. This role is expected to acquire a thorough understanding of project requirements and team constraints so that project maintenance and training objectives are achieved and completed on time and within budget.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Have a relevant qualification as Electrotechnology Electrician and/or Electrical Engineering.
Have a minimum of 5 years proven manufacturing experience, preferably in the electrical industry.
Previous experience leading and developing multi-functional manufacturing teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence others

Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing, delivering and reviewing the manufacturing operations plan to improve performance across all responsible departments.
Responsible for regular benchmarking against world’s best practice, continuously drive innovation and challenge our current thinking.
Conduct toolbox meetings with the team for alignment on performance, company procedures and safety and quality standards.
Manage resources within team and when appropriate, assist the Head of Manufacturing with recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
Support Project Managers to manage the scope, commercial and contractual terms of the projects with the guidance of the Head of Manufacturing.
Manage costs to deliver the project/maintenance within budget constraints, identifying reduced cost methods to deliver project/maintenance outcomes.
Plan and manage the quality of project and maintenance deliverables.
