Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler II will be responsible for planning and scheduling all aspects of production. The position will require to lead complex planning assignments and data analysis to figure out most cost effective/optimal production schedule. Collaborates with various other departments to implement new product introduction and ensure company objectives are met. Individual will drive continuous improvement projects to improve key measures such as OTIF, Backorder, Schedule Attainment, & Utilization. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, science, or equivalent relevant experience considered.
2 years experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Must be proficient in ERP System (SAP).
Proficient with MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
Ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines.
APICS Certified in Planning & Inventory Management (CPIM) with medical device manufacturer experience a plus.
Six Sigma Certification a plus.

Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required as well as sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time.
Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
OSHA safety compliance required.

Responsibilities:

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and on time delivery. Coordinate production workflow for multiple product lines. Analyze labor, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand. Direct the manufacturing efforts of the organization by developing daily production schedules, taking into consideration pre-established line rates, established committed lead-times and cost effectiveness of schedules.
Maintenance of MRP master data parameters for established and new products to ensure accurate signals for quantity and dates generated by MRP to minimize excess inventory. Helps audit and maintain BOMs and Routing information.
Responsible for key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, back order, on time starts, aging production orders, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and communicating planning reports and projects. Identify and proactively communicate inventory stock level risks to Marketing and present during SIOP meeting.
Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
Identify goals, review and update Supervisor throughout the year and complete the PMD.
Recalculate orders and requirements as needed by analyzing trends in demand, changes in lead time, minimum order quantities, standard batch sizes and safety stock levels. Follow up on open orders and partial shipments and expedite as required.
Attend daily management stand -up meetings and provide timely status updates.
Partner effectively with external departments including Demand Planning, Customer Service, R&D, PMO, QC/QA, Marketing, Manufacturing, Logistics to resolve issues impacting areas of responsibility. Lead the material planning aspects of new product launches, rebranding, specification changes to products.
Demonstrated knowledge of ISO/FDA, GMP, ISO Regulations and other regulatory requirements for diagnostics manufacturing.
Control all documentation relative to the operations planning function. Such documentation includes backlog reports, lead-time analysis, shop floor orders (including rework orders), delivery performance, daily production status, lead-time maintenance, shortage reports, and open production order reports.
Participates in PPI lean manufacturing initiatives to continuously improve process flow regarding material management. Establish and optimize standard work to ensure material availability to supporting rapidly growing business.
Responsible for understanding and implementing relevant company and department policies and procedures.
