POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing and Process PLC Programmer will manage and support controls/automation projects and upgrading existing systems. This position will perform high level technical programming, troubleshooting and improvements. Our facility is expanding, which provides the opportunity to be involved in new product start-ups and development of maintenance department process and procedure development.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related degree/education.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot PLC code (Allen Bradley Studio 5000 RS Logix a must)
  • Knowledge in creating HMI interfaces (Allen Bradley FactoryTalk PanelView ME/SE a plus)
  • Knowledge of higher-level programming languages (Python, VB.net, and SQL Ignition)
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to work off-shifts, including weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and support for writing and/modifying PLC and HMI programs
  • Provide support to operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel to keep equipment running and maximize efficiency
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve as well as support installation and troubleshooting of various I/O devices connected to PLC’s including HMI’s, scanners, remote I/O, sensors, relays, solenoids, etc., and support/assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and pneumatic circuits.
  • Write programming, functional overview and operational manuals for new programs written to integrate new equipment into the existing plant system operation
  • Participate in design and specification of new equipment purchase or improvements to existing equipment

Hours, Location and Pay:
We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This position is located at the Horseshoe Beverage facility in Neenah, WI. Typical hours are 7a-5p Monday through Friday, but some off shift hours may be occasionally required to meet business needs.
