Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing/Production Engineer to join the team. As a Manufacturing/Production Manager you will be involved in supporting the productions areas, especially gas seal assembly and test, increasing (OEE), quality RFT% and reducing costs through process/layout improvements. Implementation of key projects aligned to business plan and the introduction/implementation of new advanced manufacturing technology. You will also be ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and supporting daily production activities. The role involves providing critical support to Operations on process controls, addressing machine issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
This role is based from our headquarters within Slough working Monday to Friday normal office hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Increasing the OEE KPI’s for productions areas within the Slough plant
  • Creation and updating of standards and process instructions (Visual Factory, internal WIG documents)
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives through value VA/VE projects
  • Manage key projects from conception through to completion. Ensure key milestones are hit and project delivers objectives on time and within cost
  • Support the production areas with CI initiatives and Kaizen generation
  • “Hands On” support for production functions.
  • Support the NPD team with PFMEA’s, risk assessments and control plans.
  • Prepare cost estimates to formulate schedules and coordinate and monitor assigned Production/CapEx projects
  • Support and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders within JC Slough Operations and external suppliers as appropriate to provide technical support/assistance
