Description:

Hunt Electric, Inc. and Instrument Control Company (ICC) of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Manufacturing Project Manager/Estimator position in our Salt Lake City office.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee and drive complex manufacturing projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. The qualified candidate will oversee the bidding, estimating and installation of electrical panel building projects to serve our customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities
  • Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) skills essential
  • Experience in environments that comply with ISO-9001 and ULXXX
  • Proficiency in computer systems, ability to quickly learn estimating and project management software

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience with MS Projects, excel, google docs and Blue Beam preferred.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects
  • 5-10 years related experience

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross functional teams to successfully execute manufacturing projects
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Create preliminary schedule to ensure clients have lead times using just in time principles
  • Create and manage key relationships with vendors, customers, and service providers
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Process contract drawings and specifications and oversee the project is in accordance with these documents
  • Process and manage change orders
  • Prepare billings and ensure timely payment of billings
  • Monitor project’s material and labor costs and ensure accurate quality reporting is being conducted
  • Read, interpret, analyze, and forecast a project’s cost report and determine the status of the job in terms of schedule and cost
  • Be aware of unit costs and monitor and compare daily progress on site with that of the project’s estimate
  • Conduct project coordination meetings as needed
  • Coordinate, manage, and communicate with all vendors and effectively deal with problems such as delivery, labor, schedule, and payment disputes
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager
