TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial or related Engineering;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial mechanical and/or electrical assembly environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel is a requirement;
  • Experience in deploying continuous improvement tools (5S, VSM, Kanban, Takt Time, 8 Wastes, Ishikawa Diagram, Kaizen, A3, Visual management, etc.);
  • Be able to interact with production teams and support functions in a collaborative environment;
  • Be able to evaluate and manage action plans based on overall priorities to achieve defined objectives;
  • Engineer member of the OIQ - an asset;
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure;
  • Be able to work with several projects in the same time;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and control quality/manufacturing processes in accordance with the Schneider Production System (SPS);
  • Respect the production’s performance objectives established;
  • Ensure a safe environment for employees;
  • Performing Lean Manufacturing projects;
  • Project leader with multidisciplinary teams to improvements actions or new process/products;
  • Responsible of quality technical documentation;
  • Develop processes and be responsible for associated technical documents and requests to services/purchases from suppliers;
  • Do/participate training and certification to new operators;
  • Ensure a safe environment for employees;
  • Participate with the Quality Manager in the analysis of complaints, the determination of the root cause, the corrective actions to place and their implementation;
  • Ensure the best production techniques/methods available to improve working conditions, efficiency and quality of finished products;
  • Analyze the root causes of waste and implement the necessary corrective and preventive actions;
  • Provide the necessary support for the team;
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by the manager;
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Work in collaboration with the maintenance, R&D, process and production departments;
  • Be a facilitator of change;
  • Develop procedures and apply the standards of the quality manual;
  • Create qualitative and quantitative performance reports;
  • Provide excellent customer follow-up and complaint management;
  • Actively participate/lead several “Lean and 6 sigma projects;
  • Perform various tasks in quality assurance and control;
  • Act as a resource person and coach the production for the application of the procedures in place;
  • Perform data analyzes necessary and up to date non-conformities data and KPI’s Quality indicators;
  • Perform audits in production areas and warehouses (operational audit, pre-op) and follow the actions plans;
  • Ensure compliance with product quality specifications;
  • Check and classify documentation and ensure the required traceability;
  • All other related tasks related to the job.
    We are looking for a person with a good organization sense, who is able to solve complex problems and who wants to work in a team. The person sought must be a good communicator and not afraid to set goals to achieve results.
