Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that the highest level of quality standards are achieved for our products, services, and processes. This role will focus on deviation prevention, continuous improvement, and delivering solutions to meet Sensitech quality standards. The position involves factory audits, supplier quality management, and maintaining compliance with ISO9001 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure deviation prevention, continuous improvement, and excellent performance to meet Sensitech quality standards.
- Conduct factory audits of key supplier facilities to review/qualify production lines for existing and new products; verify engineering change and manufacturing procedure changes.
- Collaborate directly with Engineering to prevent/resolve design or manufacturability issues.
- Serve as liaison between Quality, Support Services, and Engineering teams for escalation of product and service issues.
- Lead manufacturers/suppliers through problem-solving processes, including root cause analysis and implementation of solutions.
- Provide diagnostic support and trend analysis in determining failure modes and root cause.
- Analyze product/process failures and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee data collection analysis and make recommendations for solutions and improvements.
- Participate in inspections, evaluation, and disposition of non-conforming materials and customer returns.
- Maintain required Quality records and documentation.
- Review and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with current practices.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or equivalent education/training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic product manufacturing quality roles, including supplier quality management.
- Strong knowledge of electronic product manufacturing control, quality problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D corrective action, FMEA), and SPC.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Highly organized self-starter with strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- ISO 9001 and Lean quality system knowledge (Six Sigma Black or Green Belt is a plus).
