Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Senior Engineer in Columbia, MO.
Job Description: Guarantee the performance of industrial processes. Ensure management of service methods in a unit and a specialized group. Ensure the implementation of SPS principles and developing methods and tools. Manage the team according to SPS/SIM rules and cycle event of the plant. Oversee continuous improvement for line architectures, internal and external resources. Ensure the capacities adaptation according to the dedicated tools, internal or external. Perform regular Queue Simulations, using the waiting queue design tool, in order to optimize Lead Times and assure capacity of the lines. Define and maintain a referential operating time based on measurement tools adapted. Ensure the profitability of investments adapted to the needs of optimization and development process. Propose the organization to implement new projects and production volume to optimize costs. Guide the choice of designers by providing industrial and logistical requirements. Act as Senior Expert specialized in several areas of knowledge regarding production/manufacturing processes in an entity.
Qualifications:
Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience (3 years with Master’s or 5 years with Bachelor’s) in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Optimizing manufacturing lines taking account for manufacturing time standards, labor line balancing, capacities adaptation using dedicated tools (CAMA, Bridge); and industrial processes (DT, IE, OEE, TTP); Lean Manufacturing Methodology and tools, including 8D Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen and Six Sigma applications; Executing Line architecture and process modification projects; Change Management methodology (PDCM cycle, communicate effectively and identify stakeholders); Designing manufacturing processes using Visio, AutoCAD and Access; and MTM-UAS-timer-video analysis.
