Are you a demonstrably skilled Electrician with interest or experience in the automotive industry? Are you looking for a full-time, permanent position with a growing company? Vartan Rocks creates custom designed vans and is currently looking to hire a Manufacturing Tech - Electrician.

EXPECTED SKILL SET:

  • Experienced as Electrician or Electrical Technician in 12-Volt DC & 120-Volt AC.
  • Experience building adventure vans or similar experience is a plus.
  • Minimum educational requirement: Associate degree or equivalent job training
  • Technical/mechanical/electrical/manufacturing background from automotive or similar
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Work experience that demonstrates longevity and commitment
  • Be reliable and able to work independently, while supporting the team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Must be able to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time. This includes walking rapidly from one job assignment to another
  • Must be able to work a 4-Day 10-hour work week and OT if needed
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and/or climb stairs at any time as required for job assignments
  • Must be able to use hand tools as required

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, install, diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, or overhaul electrical-, water- and LP-systems on adventure vans, RV’s and commercial vehicles
  • Support engineering with electrical-, water- and LP-system definition, including wiring diagrams, schematics and system layout
  • Install electrical-, water- and LP-systems
  • Perform electrical-, water- and LP-functional system tests
  • Diagnose and repairs faulty electrical-, water- and LP-systems on factory and aftermarket systems
  • Repair defective engine components
  • Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts
  • Refinish wood surfaces on cabinets, doors, moldings, or floors, using power sanders, putty, spray equipment, brushes, paints, or varnishes
  • Fabricate or refinish composite components
  • Seal gaps or cracks to prevent leakage or moisture intrusion
  • General automotive work such as breaks replacement, suspension upgrades, tire changes etc.
