JOB SUMMARY
The MAP Case Worker will be involved in conducting outreach, intake, planning, and overall guidance and support for families in the Moving Ahead Program (MAP). The position provides essential support to newly arrived immigrant and refugee families, helping them overcome various settlement barriers.

Responsibilities:
Archway’s MAP Case Worker with the Moving Ahead Program (MAP) contributes by:
- Engaging in outreach to make connections with newly arrived and/or “hard to reach” families.
- Carrying out intake and assessments with clients and developing comprehensive, wraparound support plans tailored to clients’ needs.
- Providing one-on-one counselling to clients.
- Assisting the Life Skills/ Topical Workshop facilitator in organizing, facilitating, and preparing curriculum for discussion groups.
- Providing home outreach and visitation as needed, and ensuring clients have access to essential services.
- Assisting with addressing barriers to participation such as transportation, language, and/or literacy.
NOTE: This position is a great fit for someone who has a strong understanding of intercultural family dynamics and can communicate with individuals who have low English levels. The incumbent must be compassionate, culturally aware, be skilled in active listening and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate needs to be empathetic and experienced in case management. They should have experience addressing the settlement needs of multi-barrier immigrants and refugees and be adept at supporting clients with emotional and mental health challenges. Strong written, verbal, and active listening skills are essential, along with the ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
