ProPoint Claims Services, a division of DOXA, is seeking a Marine Claims Consultant to join our claims team to support claims for Marine Underwriters of America. The Marine Claims Consultant is responsible for investigating and managing commercial marine claims; inclusive of coverage analysis, conducting first and third-party liability investigations and related loss control analysis.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent years of relevant insurance or reinsurance experience.
- 3+ years of industry experience. Property and Marine GL experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal business communication skills.
- Maintain and/or secure required state adjuster licenses in states which claims handled.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google office tools

Responsibilities:
- Investigate and negotiate the resolution of Marine Claims (MGL/P&I/Hull/Boat Dealers/Contractors, etc.).
- Assist our clients with all aspects of timely reporting of marine claims to their trading partners, including individually reported claims, complex claims and/or marine property catastrophe claims.
- Manage client assets to assure prompt recovery of amounts ceded to insurers.
- Assist clients with year-end collateral funding needs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Potential to work with litigation management and direct/work with both coverage and defense counsel.
