Marine design engineer

We are looking for a MARINE DESIGN ENGINEER to join our team in Turku or Helsinki, for a permanent position.
The job includes design tasks/project management in marine engineering domain according to the applicants abilities (suchs as frame, mechanical, deck fitting, HVAC or electrical). This position also includes multi-disciplinary work environment, and monitoring compliance with regulations. Therefore, an understanding of and interest in shipbuilding and ship design regulations is essential. The candidate should have a suitable education in a field such as mechanical or marine engineering (engineer or graduate engineer) and a few years of experience in a similar role.

As an expert you will work closely with customers and the authorities as well as directly with the customer, which is why we expect the applicants to have:

• customer service attitude
• active approach and problem-solving capability
• the ability to see the big picture
• ability to work in a team as well as independently
• good communication skills
• fluent English and basic Finnish language skills
