Are you passionate about marine safety and want to do your part to support safety at sea?
VIKING Australia is looking for a talented individual to join our Bibra Lake workshop, located in Perth, Western Australia, as a Marine Service Technician (Liferafts & Safety Equipment).
Responsibilities:
Key tasks include:
- Inflation and deflation of various size liferafts
- Service and maintenance of liferafts, including replacement of survival equipment
- Load testing liferafts
- Packing and transport of liferafts and other safety equipment
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and service notes
- Warehouse and logistics duties
Our ideal candidate has experience in a similar marine-based role, trade, or trade assistant background. Additionally, you will need the following:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with cloud-based systems
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and regulatory standards
- Awareness of relevant maritime regulations, such as SOLAS, IMO, NSCV
- Self-motivated and a high attention to detail
- Forklift licence desirable
- Manual driver’s licence desirabl
